Random Hypothetical #2
How do you know when it's time to quit your job?
Is it when you can't stomach getting out of bed in the morning, just to go shovel more manure? Or when you can barely contain your disgust at the mere thought of dealing with your coworkers?
Or is it when you feel like your entire soul has been sucked dry and there is no more joy left in the world?
It's good to recognize these signs, should you ever find yourself in such a position.

So the promotion? Not so good?
Hypothetically speaking, no.
don't forget deliberately planning your daily commute so that you end up showing up for work 5-10 minutes late every day because you just don't care anymore....
bummer... you were so hopeful and excited with it!
heroin.
Is it when you're so overworked you're happy to work at lunch because at least then you can hide at your desk and turn your phone off and at least get caught up on yesterday's problems?
Maybe that's an intermittent stage.
Sorry about the promo. =/
I got my degree and have been thinking about moving up, but something about the way a month in charge of cust-serv has drained the vitality from our manager-of-a-month has made me reluctant...
Moondog: add it to the list.
Patience: it's a wonder what naivete can do for you.
SJ: thanks so much for the bag. It's made my days bearable.
DNS: moving up only means larger headaches. I don't recommend it. At all.
